Yankee Wood Club, 1941 Cadillac, 1949 Packard, Venue, Bed and Breakfast, Hotel, Lodging, Newport / Middletown Rhode Island, Villa 120
Yesterday started off as a normal Sunday here at Villa 120 - breakfast for delightful guests, chatting with guest, saying our farewells and cleaning up. Then came a surprise phone call from a wonderful guest who visited last weekend - because of rain they were unable to bring their 1940's cars but yesterday the sun was shining so they decided to surprise me and visit - I can now say besides from the cars being simply marvellous I felt that I have made new friends after the three hour visit.
We all sat on the porch in the beautiful sunshine and exchanged stories - we laughed, gasped and just simply had a wonderful afternoon.
This is the bonus of being a B&B owner, you meet the most extraordinary people and some of the special ones stay in your lives for a very long time!
Here are the photos of these magnificant cars - life is good!

la maison de COCO, French Cuisine, Venue, Bed and Breakfast, Hotel, Lodging, Newport / Middletown Rhode Island, Villa 120
Wonderful with 'real' european feel - opposite the Viking Hotel on Bellevue.
Our Inspiration
Michele De Luca-Verley founded la maison de COCO with the hopes of sharing her passion for fine pastries and chocolates with a broader audience. Her fascination with pastries was kindled while living in New York City during the mid 1980’s. It was then that she was instructed in the basics of French Cuisine by an Alsatian Chef. She moved to France for 8 months and learned first hand the value of celebrating farm-fresh ingredients, using pastries as her canvas for artistic expression and indulging in the pleasures of afternoon tea.She has spent the past twenty years crafting recipes that uphold the highest standard of quality… appreciated by both the artistic eye and the discerning palate. After returning to her native Rhode Island to take advantage of the fresh produce and agriculture indigenous to Aquidneck Island, she founded la maison de COCO. When asked about her inspiration for her products, Michele responded, “I’m inspired by the farmlands that surround me: the beauty of a sun-soaked berry, thick cream scented with grass, the simplicity of brown and blue eggs farmed up the road. I fervently hope that this love of Earth’s gifts transcends to each bite of my creations.”
