Bill Cosby will perform a doubleheader on Sunday August 17th as part of the Newport Comedy Series.
In addition to the previously announced 7.30 p.m. show, Cosby will perform at 4 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Centre, 4 Commercial Wharf.
Due to demand the second show was added. People will have options to see this comedy icon in what may very well be the highlight of the 2014 series.
Cosby has entertained generations with his comedy routines albums and best-selling books such as "Fatherhood". His comedy transends age, gender and cultural barriers.
Cosby has been awarded the Kennedy Centre Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is Americas highest civilian honor, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and the Marian Anderson Award.
Cosby broke televison's racial barrier with "I Spy", becoming the first African-American to win three consecutive Emmy Awards.
